Sweaty palms, upset stomach, trembling, shallow breathing, elevated heart rate... all of these are symptoms many of us performers face before we get onto the stage.

Performance Anxiety is one of the most common challenges we have, regardless if you one is a total beginner or a seasoned expert. Nervousness will inevitably come and haunt us no matter how big or small the stage.

And it's how we deal with that nervousness and anxiety that determines how successful we are with our performance. Many people don't have any tools to overcome performance anxiety and most often slip into unhealthy coping mechanisms.

But I'm going to share with you my personal secret that I've used to help overcome performance anxiety and slay the stage every time! Its safe, effective, free, and you don't need anything else other than your body and breath. 

My secret hack: Qigong

Qigong is the art of moving energy through the body for health. And since performance anxiety is often nervous energy stuck in the wrong area of the body, Qigong is the perfect tool we can use to redistribute this stuck energy so that we can use it to empower us instead! 

Ever since I discovered Qigong as a health practice, I have used it every time I find myself nervous before performing or entering a dance competition. The situations I've been in are often real intense high-pressure situations that would make any seasoned pro nervous.

But every time Qigong has helped me find my center, calm my mind, and energize me to help me perform at my best. All one needs is a place to be alone and about 5-10 minutes. With just a simple combination of breath, movement, and mindfulness, one can go from feeling like they are going to run away into becoming their most confident self on the stage. 

So in this mini course, I'm going to teach you my basic Qigong protocol that I use to help me move stuck nervous energy and instead feel empowered, confident, and energized to slay the stage!
